The EAT (Employment Appeal Tribunal) has handed down its judgment in the case of Da'Bell v NSPCC.
This a matter where a former NSPCC employee claimed constructive dismissal and disability discrimination.
Following the above case presiding Judge HHJ McMullen QC, has confirmed that injury to feelings or Vento Awards in cases of discrimination will be increased to reflect inflation as follows:-
• lower band: £ 6,000 (was £5,000)
• middle band: £18,000 (was £15,000)
• upper band: £30,000 (was £25,000)
The judgment has come into effect immediately.
