
Samuel Phillips Law Firm has boosted its employment law department with the appointment of a solicitor with extensive experience of advocacy work, largely representing employers in employment tribunals.
James English, joins Samuel Phillips from EEF - The Manufacturers’ Organisation in Gateshead. He joined EEF in 2006 as its Senior Legal Advisor, representing the organisation’s members in employment tribunals. With EEF, he has worked with companies of every size, including multi-nationals.

James qualified as a solicitor in 2003, attaining Solicitors’ Higher Rights of Audience accreditation in 2004.
James lives in Low Fell with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys running. He has completed the Great North Run, and is currently training with the aim of participating in occasional 10k runs or half marathons in the coming year.
