Training Contracts

Applications
Please note that due to the volume of applications we will not be able to either acknowledge the application or advise candidates who are not selected for interview. Please note that if you have not heard from us by the end of September this would mean that you have been unsuccessful.

Trainees are given a textured training contract to give a real breadth of experience in each of the clinical negligence, family, non-contentious and civil litigation departments. Each possessing 'specific strengths' and 'all doing things slightly differently'

Your Training
You spend 6 months in each department. Where possible in your 4th seat you will enter the seat you wish to specialise in on qualification.
Great emphasis is placed on your training with day-to-day feedback, monthly assessments and thorough end of seat appraisals in place to develop your career.
An open door policy is adopted to highlight that all our staff (including our Partners) are there to support our trainees and are easily approachable.
The firm is committed to regular training sessions through weekly DVD training and various talks and seminars.

Vacation Placements

We offer 6 vacation placements for a 1 week period for those who are interested in a career in law and who would like to develop their careers at Samuel Phillips Law Firm.

We accept applications for vacation placements in the months of January and February.
