Managing Partner, Robert Gibson, heads the Department. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and an ACAS appointed arbitrator. Robert is assisted by Sally Lomas Fletcher, Aidan McGuire and Shirley Scott, all of whom are qualified solicitors specialising in employment law.

Senior Partner, Barry Speker has over 30 years experience in employment law and is a part-time Chairman of the Employment Tribunals which places him in an excellent position to advise on employment disputes.

The department provides regular training in relation to employment disputes, claims avoidance and changes in employment law. Training is arranged at clients’ premises or at external venues. The firm advises employers on employment contracts, policies and procedures. We also undertake employment audits to ensure employers are complying with the latest changes in employment law. The firm also offers an Employment Protection Scheme against tribunal awards and legal fees which is backed by insurance and as part of which clients receive a monthly newsletter.
