Angela joined the Litigation Department at Samuel Phillips in early 2014 and represents both Employers and Employees in a range of Employment matters; in addition, Angela provides advice to clients in the Employment Protection Scheme. Angela’s experience in representing both sides in a dispute gives her an ideal perspective from which to analyse cases that come before her.
She graduated with an LL.B Hons in Law before undertaking the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.
Angela then trained at a local firm and spent 3 years representing Claimants across the UK in class action Equal Pay claims before joining a National Employment Law Consultancy in 2009.
Alongside her role at Samuel Phillips, Angela sits on the Law Society Committee and Sub Committee for Education and provides Employment Law support to the Newcastle Citizen’s Advice Bureau. Angela is also undertaking an LL.M Masters of Law at Northumbria University and hosts Employment Law training and Seminars. Angela is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Originally from Chester-le-Street, Co Durham, Angela attended St Leonard’s R.C. Comprehensive in Durham. She now lives in Newcastle and enjoys musical and dramatic theatre and Italian wine. Angela is an avid cyclist and a lifter of heavy weights and regularly participates in events on behalf of Macmillan.
