Anne Johnson

Partners Secretary / P.A.

Direct Line: 0191 255 0218

Anne Johnson
Anne has 40 years of experience working within the legal profession, where she has played an essential and supportive Secretarial role. She has worked closely with all aspects of law throughout this time including family, criminal, conveyancing, wills and probate, personal injury, and civil litigation.

On leaving College in 1972 Anne joined Craigs Solicitors in Ashington as an Office Junior; her skills helped her quickly progress to Secretary to Col. R.K. Phillips, then to Nick O’Mara.

After a short spell away to have children, she returned to work for Nick O’Mara and his assistant Jennifer Goldstein (now a partner at Samuel Phillips), continuing in her role as his Secretary and Office Manager.

Craigs Solicitors merged with Lawson & Thompson Solicitors, Nick O’Mara relocated to the Lakes. At that point Anne decided it was time for a change. She joined NIG Insurance, part of RBS, assisting and supporting Underwriters, based at Ashington Business Park.

In January 2008 after 18 months away from the legal profession, Anne was approached by Jennifer Goldstein to join Samuel Phillips as her Secretary. This was a demanding but exciting position to take on, but Anne had no hesitation in joining the team at Samuel Phillips, and getting back to what she knows best.

Anne lives in Ashington with her husband; she has 2 grown up children and 2 young grandchildren. On the whole life is very busy, but away from work Anne likes the quiet life. She spends a lot of time with the family; she also enjoys regular catch ups with her ‘old’ school friends, walking, dancing, eating out, watching a good movie, listening to music and relaxing at home.
