A new Litigation and Dispute Resolution team has been created at Newcastle-based Samuel Phillips Law. The team, led by Claire Farrell, has already recruited Adam Chaffer, and plans to grow further this year.
The team is dedicated to providing exceptional client care with a strong focus and pragmatic advice.
The new focus on litigation and dispute resolution at Samuel Phillips will enable regional clients to capitalise on the recent introduction of the Business and Property Court in Newcastle. The new Court means that the region’s businesses no longer have to travel to Leeds or London to have their cases determined.
Claire Farrell said, “We have intentionally positioned our team to be the firm of choice for clients seeking to resolve their business and property disputes in Newcastle upon Tyne and the wider North East region”.
“We are building a strong portfolio of business clients including many well-established enterprises across the region. Our partnership approach with clients means there is a real trust built between us, which helps to create the best possible results”
Claire Farrell joined Samuel Phillips Law having previously worked as Head of Fraud in a market-leading Legal 500 firm. Claire has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation disputes and is one of the few solicitors in the North East to navigate a claim to the Supreme Court. Claire is a member of both the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Agricultural Law Association.
Adam Chaffer, a newly qualified solicitor, has been recruited to the team. Adam trained in County Durham before returning to Newcastle upon Tyne and has experience in contractual and shareholder disputes, injunctive relied and general commercial litigation. Adam is a member of the Commercial Litigation Association.
Robert Gibson, Senior Partner at Samuel Phillips Law; commented. “The launch of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team reflects our commitment to being a full-service law firm. Both Claire and Adam have worked hard to deliver on their new business plan which will benefit both our clients and the region going forward”.
