Commercial Property Legal Secretary Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to work within in our Commercial Property Department providing full secretarial support.

Job description:

You will have excellent typing skills and be well organised, with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will assist a senior associate and will be expected to perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organising and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing information to callers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Opening files and obtaining initial information from clients (e.g., identification evidence).
  • Managing documentation and assisting with the formulation and engrossment of contractual documentation (principally leases and other property-related documents).
  • Dealing with post completion registration and Stamp Duty Land Tax formalities (experience not required in this area, as training is given).
  • Organising and Filing necessary correspondence on Client files.
  • Managing/arranging meetings for the Commercial Property Team.
  • Scanning and copying documentation onto the firm’s system.
  • Interacting with clients as necessary.
  • Applying for Searches against Commercial Properties (training provided).

Administrative skills:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • Ablility to prioritise.
  • Dictation skills required – able to follow dictation to a competent level.
  • Ability to use initiative.

In addition to a competitive salary we also provide a competitive benefits package.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £17,000.00 to £18,000.00 /year

  • Commercial Property: 2 years
