Business Support

Found everything regarding employment advice excellent and wouldn’t hesitate to use the company again in future if needed.

I found the discussion and guidance helpful, simply but authoritatively put with some humour which helped in the circumstances. Impressed with Mr Gibson’s listening skills.

I thought that Sally was extremely professional, compassionate and understanding. She certainly was with me every step of the way through a very difficult time and I can’t thank her enough.

Excellent throughout.

Excellent service throughout.

Very pleased with the advice I received and will use Samuel Phillips again, it was a pleasure dealing with them.

I found everyone very helpful. My calls were promptly returned and I felt I was fully informed of how things progressed.

Property

Brilliant, thank you for being able to complete on this sale that quick!

I’ve never seen a sale for a property that large go through within that a short amount of time.

Sophie Adcock, Walton Robinson in response to work undertaken by Partner, Chris Anderson

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your unfailing kindness and patience in dealing with this case.  I appreciate the time and care which you have devoted to keeping me so well informed at every stage of the proceedings and the reassurance that this has given me.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Alan.  He kept me up to date and never made me feel like I was a problem whenever I phoned up to ask any questions.

Thank you for an excellent service.  I have been very satisfied and hope to contact you in due course to arrange drawing up a will.

Alan provided a friendly and very professional level of service throughout.

Employment

I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Shirley and Robert for all your help and support.  I know you must have many cases to deal with yet I felt as though you were always giving me 100% in both guidance and honesty.  I will not hesitate to use your services again and I will recommend Samuel Phillips to anyone who needs a professional, yet friendly law firm.

Academy Conversion

After careful consideration and a thorough tendering process we decided to appoint Samuel Phillips as our chosen solicitors, to take us through the academy conversion process.  We have been more than pleased with the excellent service we have received from this fine firm.  They have been with us at every stage of the way and they have impressed us with their knowledge professionalism and personalised service.   I can fully recommend them without any hesitation.

Kevin Thompson, Head Teacher – KTS Academy

We had an excellent working relationship with the Team from Samuel Phillips from the outset of our conversion journey.  Every member of the team, without exception, were personable and professional and every query, however small, was promptly dealt with.  Special mention must be made of David Laud, who worked tirelessly on our behalf throughout the whole process. The firm instils an air of confidence through their exemplary work ethic and I am looking forward to continuing our relationship with Samuel Phillips to further support our Academy. Highly commendable!

Bernadette Dolan, Head Teacher – New Seaham Academy

The team at Samuel Philips worked closely with myself, Sharon Wright, Head teacher and Christine Dodd, Office Manager to have a smooth transition to Academy status.  We “interviewed” other firms but found Samuel Philips personable and approachable. We chose to use a local firm to take us through the conversion process, that understood our values and aims and where we wanted to be. They were an integral part of the conversion process. We hope to maintain the close working partnership as we move forward in a position of strength.

Glenda Wood, Director – Holley Park Academy

Nunthorpe Primary Academy converted to an Academy, as planned on June 1st 2014.  Working with Samuel Phillips, in particular with Chris Anderson & David Laud, has taken the pressure off staff at Nunthorpe.

The conversion process is a daunting task but the reassurance and guidance offered by Samuel Phillips has ensured that the process was as smooth as it could possibly be.  Our project was managed by David Laud who offered professional yet friendly support at all hours of the day, and night!  This approach has led to the beginning of a great professional relationship.  We always aimed to convert on June 1st and through careful planning this has been achieved.  Throughout the process both David and Chris have offered guidance and practical advice to staff and the Governing Body; through attending meetings to provide information and clarity.  This ensured that everybody was fully involved and informed at all stages and understood their role within the changes.  I can honestly say that were never any surprises as information was always provided in a timely manner to ensure that the increase in work load that conversion can lead to was always planned and prepared for.

Alexa O’Gara, Head Teacher, Nunthorpe Primary Academy

The priority for the Governors and leadership team of Normanby Primary school was to secure conversion to Academy status on time and with minimal disruption to the working life of the school.

Samuel Phillips were awarded the contract to act as the schools solicitors because they offered a level of service that promised both professional support and individual response should issues arise.  Samuel Phillips delivered on both accounts. Having a single point of contact made a huge difference to the school; inevitable issues presented by converting were dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.  I would recommend them without hesitation.

Carl Faulkner, Head Teacher, Normanby Primary
